Frequently asked questions

1What Takes Place During the Procedure?
Initially, a cooling gel is applied to the treatment area. Following this, a chilled applicator is placed on the skin to administer the light therapy. A sunscreen is applied to the skin after the procedure.
2Are BBL Treatments Uncomfortable?
Not typically, though you may experience some discomfort in more sensitive areas. Nurse Jacklyn may apply a topical anesthetic cream to the skin for 30 minutes prior to the treatment if necessary.
3Is there Downtime with a BBL treatment?
No, in most cases. Makeup can usually be applied immediately, allowing you to resume your regular routine. Your skin may appear slightly red and blotchy after the treatment.
4How many BBL’s do I need?
If you are in a correction phase, you may require 3-5 treatments to correct the pigment concerns or to get the redness under control. Once in a maintenance phase, it is best to have a BBL 2-3 times a year or biannually in the spring and fall. Routine BBLs express younger genes in your skin, boost collagen and hyaluronic acid, and stimulate healthy oxygen flow to the skin. The goal is to keep your skin looking clear, bright and smooth.
5What areas can you treat with BBL?
Nurse Jacklyn commonly treats the face, neck, chest, back, arms and hands with BBL or IPL. The neck and chest often show signs of sun damage that can benefit from a BBL treatment.

Nurse Jacklyn provides high-quality medical aesthetic treatments in a professional clinic, upholding a passion for patient care and safety.
